Figure Skating CampThe camp has many options from hourly skating with a lesson for as little as $10, up to full lessons, classes and total packages. Can be 1 day, or Monday through Friday. All ages welcome.

Honors Orientation Arrival and Check-InFirst-year Honors students can pick up their room keys in th e ERC Commons area, just outside the Honors office. The Honors office will be open all day and refreshments will be available. If you would like help moving into your room or have questions, students will be available to assist you. Upper-class students can pick up their keys at Residence Life. First-year students may move in on Wednesday, but need to notify us so that we can amke arrangements with Residence Life.

First-Year Student OrientationThis introductory session will be for learning more about th e workings of the Honors Program, for setting goals for the program and yourselves, and for g etting to know your Honors classmates. There will also be a team building exercise outdoors - so wear comfortable clothes.

Upper-Class Student MeetingThis session with Professor Craig will provide a kickoff to the Honors year and begin to set the agenda for the year. All upper-class students are required to attend and to complete the opening writing assignment.

Sport ActivityAn informal game of ultimate Frisbee will be played on Cheel Lawn for any Honors student that would like to participate.

Welcoming Picnic for all Honors Students and their FamiliesThis picnic wil lbe held on the ERC Lawn (rain location is G raham Hall Cafeteria). It provides an opportunity to meet the professors who will teach the Honors classes and members of the Honors Council. Also, new students will sign the Honors book, signifying thier entrance into the program.

First-year Student OrientationUpper-class Honors students will help new students to learn about the ins and outs of life at Clarkson and in the Honors Program.

Orientation for Honors First-Yeaer Students' ParentsA panel composed of Professor Gary Kelly (the professor for the first-year Honors course), Honors parents, and Honors member of the Residence Life staff and Professor Craig will conduct a discussion and question aand answer session on gettin acclimated to life at Clarkson.

New York Yankees versus Baltimore OriolesJoin alumni and friends for another enjoyable outing at Camd en Yards as the Yankees come to town for a late August game. Pre-game activities will be held at the privately reserved Home Plate Lounge behind home plate in Camden Yards. A sumptuous buffet meal and your beverages (beer, water and soda) are included. We will have access to the Lounge 1 1/2 hours before game time. Your tickets and pre-game gathering is included in the package for $60.00 per person! CT. Chapter night at New Britain Rock Cats Baseball GameSummer is here and what goes better with summer than a trip to the ball park? The Connecticut Clarkson alumni chapter invites you to join alumni and their families for an afternoon with the New Britain Rock Cats. The gates open at 12:05 pm for the Rock Cats' Family Fun Day! Enjoy activities for the whole family including face painting and pre-game entertainment. All kids 12 and under also have the opportunity to run the bases just like the pros after the game! Admission to our summer event costs only $7.50 per person - this reserves you a seat in our field box, section 102!

2008 Convocation/Van Sickle Endowed LectureManny DeLeon seeks to keep his Red Lobster restaurant runnin g on its final day before its doors are closed for good. Most of his staff has already jumped ship, the customers are crazed and complicated, and Manny's love life is a mess\; his girlfriend is pregnant and wants a ring, but he's still got eyes for his former watiress, Jacquie. Sounds intriguing? Join Stewart O'Nan, author of "Last Night at the Lobster" and the 2008 Van Sickle Endowed Lecturer on August 25 as he explores the various themes, dramas and tragedies of normal peoples' wonderful lives! The 2008 Convocation/Van Sickle Endowed Lecture is open to all (and required for incoming first-year students).
