Chris Peterson at the Montana HouseOver the next many weeks, Chris - an award winning photogra pher and editor - will cover wolverines, lynx, grizzly bears, massive wildfires, frigid landscapes, birds and other creatures that call Glacier National Park home. Peterson will also share the story of his autistic son, the boy he affectionately calls "Boy Wonder" and how hiking in the woods changed both of their lives forever. MartridenMartriden, the blackened death metal band hailing from Mont ana, returns to the state August 9 for five shows beginning in Billings following a grueling twelve state, 26 show tour. Martriden released their first full length CD, The Unsettling Dark, under the SOAR/Candlelight label in February 2008. Their four song EP released in March 2007 in Europe caused the legend Norwegian metal band, Emperor, to take notice and invite them to tour with them on their U.S. Tour in June of 2007. A Colorado Springs group, Alabaster Morgue, has joined them for the entire tour. Four of the six band members are originally from Havre, Montana, including Michael Cook, Will Thackeray, and brothers, Kyle and Shane Howard. Chad Baumgardner of Harlowton rounds out the Montana natives. Joining them this summer on drums is Sam Murphy, a young talent from Bonney Lake, Washington.
