This is a calendar for the Detroit Lions. It includes all pre-season and season games. I plan to update this throughout the season to include the scores once games have ended. I also plan to include future seasons so that you will not need to find a new schedule every year.

Preseason: Lions @ New York Jets (UPN 50)Lions lost 10-3Key Stat: Joey Harrington 9 for 9 and 10 0 yards.
Preseason: Lions vs. Cleveland Browns (UPN 50)Lions lost 21-13Key Stat: Lions 9-15 on Third Down conv ersions.
Preseason: Lions vs. St. Louis Rams (ABC)Lions lost 37-13Key Stat: Lions only had 245 yards of o ffense compared to St. Louis 453 offensive yards. They just didn't move the ball.
Preseason: Lions @ Buffalo Bills (UPN 50)Lions win 21-7Key Stat: Jeff Garcia's broken fibula wil l keep him out for at least 6 weeks of the regular season. Why do they play so many games that don't mean anything?
Lions vs. Green Bay Packers (Fox)Lions win 17-3Key Stat: Green Bay committed 14 penaltie s for 100 yards. The Lions were able to capitalize on the multitude of mistakes made by the Packers and hold them without a touchdown for the first time in more than 4 years.
Lions @ Chicago Bears (Fox)Lions lose 38-6Key Stat: Joey Harrington threw 5 incept ions. 4 of which resulted in Chicago touchdown returns or drives. Joey hasn't shown that he can make good use of his highly regarded receivers.
Lions @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Fox)Lions lose 17-13Key Stat: Joey Galloway had 7 reception s for 166 yards, including an 80 yard touchdown reception. Joey Harrington was 15 for 27 for only 137 yards -- he still doesn't find his receivers downfield, which is evident by the fact that Joey averages less than 10 yard per completed pass. Someone should take time during a team meeting to introduce Joey to Charlie Rogers, Roy Williams and Mike Williams. They just might end up liking each other.
Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens (CBS)Lions win 35-17Key Stat: The Baltimore Ravens were out of control during this game. The committed 21 penalties for 147 yards. The Lions mostly looked composed during this game and took advantage of a team that completely fell apart. Some signs of progress that hopefully will continue through the rest of the season.
Lions vs. Carolina Panthers (Fox)Lions lose 21-20Key Stat: The two teams each had 4 turn overs in a sloppy game. The Lions did not have an offensive touchdown. Luckily, they were able to return 2 interceptions for touchdowns. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough at the end.
Lions @ Cleveland Browns (Fox)Lions win 13-10Key Stat: Jeff Garcia threw 22 completio ns in 34 attempts for 210 yards. Jeff Garcia returned from a pre-season injury. His leadership was obvious throughout the day. Cleveland fans booed Garcia, as his play last year left a bad taste in their mouth. They weren't happy with him after he lead the Lions to a victory over their Browns, either.
Lions vs. Chicago Bears (Fox)Lions lose 19-13Key Stat: Jeff Garcia is intercepted fo r a touchdown in overtime. The Lions offense only managed 278 yards of offense. The Bears managed 333 yards, but won the game with their defensive play in overtime.
Lions @ Minnesota Vikings (Fox)Lions lose 27-14Key Stat: Joey Harrington returned to t he starting position this week due to an injury to Jeff Garcia. Joey lost a fumble and threw two interceptions. Hurry back, Jeff!
Lions vs. Arizona Cardinals (Fox)Lions win 29-21Key Stat: Roy Williams showed up to the game ready to play! He caught 7 passes for 117 yards and 3 touchdowns. Several of the catches showed his focus and strength of hands. Welcome back, Roy. Way to go, Lions! Keep up the great work.
Lions @ Dallas Cowboys (Fox)Lions lose 20-7Key Stat: Penalties. Penalties. Penaltie s! The Lions amassed 17 penalties for 129 yards. They actually didn't look terrible with their play, if they could just elminiate the penalties, which often caused long yardage situations on offense and gave up multiple free first downs on defense.
Lions vs. Atlanta Falcons (Fox)Lions lose 27-7Key Stat: The entire game was painful to watch. While I thought Atlanta was overrated, they definitely embarassed the Lions.
Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings (Fox)Lions lose 21-16Key Stat: The first game after Mooch wa s fired and the team just didn't gel. Minnesota looks much better than they looked at the beginning of the season, but the Lions still are beating themselves. Personally, I believe that Mooch shouldn't have been fired. Add that to list of Matt Millen's front office mistakes.
Lions @ Green Bay Packers (ESPN)Lions lose 16-13Key Stat: Unfortunately, the key stat from this game is a call that the referees got wrong -- even with a challenge! A holding penalty in the endzone should result in a safety. In this case, it would have given the Lions a 15-13 lead and probable victory. The refs got it wrong upon review and the Lions could not close the game. The weather was just a few degrees above zero, so that made it interesting as well.
Lions vs. Cincinnati Bengals (CBS)Lions lose 41-17Key Stat: 4 Turnovers! R.W. McQuarters fumbled the opening kick-off, which led to a Cincinnati field goal. Jeff Garcia also contributed with 3 interceptions. Interestingly, a large number of Lions fans wore orange to protest Matt Millen work on the team. Chants of \"Fire Millen\" were heard throughout the crowd.
Lions @ New Orleans Saints (Fox)Lions win 13-12Key Stat: Jason Hanson kicked a 39-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Lions over the Saints. New Orleans kicked 4 field goals and the Lions kicked two. The only touchdown was on a fumble recovery by the Lions defense. Otherwise, there was not a lot of offensive fire power in this game!
Lions @ Pittsburgh Steelers (Fox)Lions lose 35-21Key Stat: The Bus Rolled. In fact, th e Pittsburgh Steelers had 199 rushing yards, which Bettis scoring 3 touchdowns. The Lions final record is 5-11. I guess it is time to start looking forward to the draft and a new head coach. Here is to a better 2006!

Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks (Fox)Pre-Game Records:Seattle Seahawks (0-0)Detroit Lions (0- 0) Lions lose 9-6 Key Stat: Shaun Alexander was held to 51 yards on 19 carries. Comments: Well, even though the Lions started the season with a loss, I have to say that they looked pretty decent. Especially on defense. They held the league's leading rusher from last year and didn't allow a touchdown. They also blocked two field goals. Way to go defense!
