Wilderness First ResponderWilderness First Responder takes place from Sunday, May 18 until Monday May 26 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Boise State. Registration continues until Sunday, May 4 at 5:00 p.m. Wilderness First Responder is the industry standard for wilderness medical training and is designed specifically to provide you with the tools to make critical emergency care and evacuation decisions in remote locations. Course topics include, but are not limited to: wound management, realigning fractures and dislocations, improvised splinting techniques, allergies, hypo & hyperthermia, gastrointestinal, infections, cardiac/respiratory conditions, patient monitoring, long term management, and care. Wilderness First Responder costs $475.00, which includes Wilderness First Aid Training and Adult CPR.

Community ClimbTry out one of the largest collegiate climbing gyms in the U nited States! Check out Community Climb! Our facility offers excellent terrain for training on boulder, top rope and lead climbing routes. On the first Sunday of each month from 1:00pm until 5:00pm, Campus Recreation offers a bonus climbing session for members and a chance for non-members to experience our state-of-the-art climbing gym. The cost is free for members and $5.00 for non-members. The required Basic Skills Clinic is $5.00 for instruction and harness rental. Come and learn to climb for sport, fitness, and fun!

Drop-In Basic Bike Repair ClinicsDrop-In Basic Bike Repair Clinics take place every Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on the Student Recreation Center Patio beginning April 3 and continuing until May 15. Park your car at home and get your bike out of the garage. Here is your chance to drop by with your bike and have a trained mechanic give you technical advice. The mechanic will help you make minor adjustments and do preventative maintenance. Drop-In Bike Basic Bike Repair Clinics are free.
