J-Minus Cafe Musical PerformanceThe J-Minus crew are making quite a sensation in theirnative Seattle, the h ome of many burgeoning artists such as Nirvana and Death Cab for Cutie. Although they're far from Cobain's grunge sounds, they are reminiscent of Ben Gibbard's wistful ballads and John Mayer's lyrical laments. Continuing to play at local venues after their success with their debut album "The Sun and the Moon,"(2006) J-Minus is the rare band that you'll wish you could say "Hey, I knew them way back when." A splash of acoustic riffs, a dash of innovative storytelling, this isn't your average "alternative" band. What more could you ask for?
